BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) is an undergraduate program that combines two alternative therapies: Naturopathy and Yoga. This course is designed to educate individuals on natural healing methods and holistic wellness. Here's a clear breakdown of the program:
Typically, 5.5 years (including a compulsory internship year).
Educational Qualification: A candidate must have completed 10+2 (Intermediate) with science subjects, mainly Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Minimum Marks: Generally, 50% in 10+2 for most institutions (may vary by institute).
Basic Sciences: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
Yoga: Theory and practical applications of various forms of yoga, such as Hatha yoga, Pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation.
Naturopathy: Understanding and practicing natural healing techniques including Hydrotherapy, Mud therapy, Fasting, Diet therapy, Acupressure, and more.
Pharmacology: Natural medicines and herbs.
Environmental Science: Natural surroundings and their impact on health.
Health and Wellness: Focus on preventive healthcare, physical fitness, and stress management.
Yoga Therapy: Learning different yoga postures (asanas) and their therapeutic benefits, along with meditation and pranayama for mental and physical well-being.
Naturopathic Healing: Emphasis on self-healing methods like fasting, detoxification, dietary control, herbal remedies, and the use of natural elements like water, air, and earth.
Holistic Approach to Healthcare: The course focuses on treating the body and mind as a whole, aiming to restore balance and health using natural methods.
